In my mind, there is graveyard, full of dead and dying dreams
The life I’ve lived, the love I give, nothing is really as it seems
It’s been a good ride, I’ve seen a lot, this black hearts been loved again and again

It started out, just by chance, a clear vision brought on in a trance
An old friend from long ago, known to me but not a romance
What was the connection, I did not know, but I knew the face looking at me
In a score of heartbeats, she was gone, leaving me to wonder, what did I see?

All I knew, was something awoke, deep inside my mind
Without a word, the Muse had spoken, leaving me to see and find

The story grew, through the years, forcing me to face all my fears
I did not know, I was part of the Tale, my only hope was that I would not fail.
She never left me, this Muse of mine, but I did not see her face again
Like a sunrise, my Lady’s voice, whispers to me, soft as Summers rain

So now I know, why she came, what she brought to me
A dark tale, from olden times, to feed my mind and set me free.
