Who owns these eyes that I see in my mind?
When I look closely, what will I find?
Will it be peace, hope, or love?
Or madness then death?

First saw these eyes, I was waking from a dream
Didn’t know if I should look back, or sit up and scream
Took a chance, held the gaze,
Everything changed

Soft but steady, those eyes looked right through me.
Scared and shaking, what can this be?
Have I gone, to the edge?
And dove right off

I wanted to know who owns these eyes that looked right through me.
Hint of a smile from another time but somehow known to me
A face from my dreams or so it seems, reaching across eternity
A face with no name but all the same, reaching out to me

“Who are you?” the face in my mind, that haunts my deepest dreams
A wall of kindness, cooling life glow poured over me, it seems.
I looked inside and saw you clearly a message sent to me
An Elder story, soaked in glory, from a lost time, wild and free

My music will bring the tale to all, as it was brought to me
A story of true love and a dark fall, from olden times to this day
I don’t know who you are, and why you came to me
But in your eye my spirit flies, and the tale will set me free
